THE LOWDOWN: This wine is fresh. Not white wine fresh, but kind of. It's red so it picks up a little tannin and tannic acid from the purple dark-skinned, late maturing Bonarda. It's light, it's fruity and if you like cherries its cherific. Fresh cherries on the nose then black cherries and cherry tomatoes on the palate. Plus oregano. There's definitely oregano on the nose.
TASTES LIKE: Margherita pizza but instead of mozzarella cheese black and red cherries.
FOOD: Philly style tomato pie.
